Matron, Turner's
My first career was spent as a police officer working in frontline emergency response roles. After 25 years of police service and my 5 children (4 sons and a daughter) having reached adulthood, I took early retirement and looked for my next career.
Having started my role as Matron of Hopper’s, I have come to believe that this role was designed for me! I love the hustle and bustle of everyday life and one of my favourite parts is getting to speak to the boys about their day at meal times. I also throughly enjoy seeing the incredible talent in their many performances, both musical and sporting.
I previously taught first aid and have personal experience of children with medical needs and dietary requirements, so I am well equipped for caring for the wellbeing of every boy. I feel like I have gone from mum of 5 to mum of 64!
In my spare time I enjoy renovating houses and for actual relaxation I can be found sea kayaking off the coast of my home town in Devon or out walking with my son’s dog.
