The New Winchester College Sports Centre
The new Winchester College Sports Centre opens to the public in January 2025, offering state-of-the-art facilities for community use.
Facilities
The Winchester College Sports Centre comprises:
- A gym equipped with TechnoGym cardiovascular machines, resistance machines, free weights and racks, and a sled track.
- 2 four-court sports halls, which can accommodate basketball, badminton, volleyball, netball, indoor tennis, indoor cricket nets, futsal, and more.
- 6 squash courts
- 6 fives courts
- Dance studio
- Dojo
- Viewing gallery
- Relaxed seating area
- Modern changing rooms
In the future, the Sports Centre will also be home to a 6-lane 25-metre swimming pool.
PAY-AS-YOU-GO ACCESS
From 2nd January 2025, public access will be available for the gym, squash and five courts on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Throughout January, first gym sessions at Winchester College Sports Centre are FREE.

PUBLIC OPENING TIMES
The Sports Centre opens at midday on 2nd January.
Christmas holiday extended opening times:
Thursday 2nd January 2025: 1200-1700
Friday 3rd January 2025: 0900-1700
Spring term-time opening times:
Our spring term-time opening times can be found below. They are applicable from Saturday 4th January – until mid-February.

CLASSES AND PERSONAL TRAINING
A programme of classes at the Sports Centre will be announced in early 2025.

CLUB AND BLOCK BOOKINGS
We welcome bookings of all our facilities. View our hire rates here. In addition to the facilities at the new Winchester College Sports Centre, we also offer hire of our outdoor pitches, outdoor tennis courts, outdoor cricket nets, and rackets courts, all subject to availability.
