Geography don and Community Service champion, Mrs Clare Talks, paid a personal tribute to HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh over the Easter break. She walked the 60 miles to Windsor to deliver a letter of condolence to the Queen.
An assessor and trainer for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Mrs Talks covered the distance in two days, walking along the Three Castles Way and camping overnight at Odiham Castle.
She commented, "I was profoundly moved by the sea of flowers laid at the Castle gates. We owe HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh a debt of gratitude for his life of service. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has been inspirational and transformed the lives of so many young people."
