Platinum Jubilee

Yesterday we held a Platinum Jubilee Lunch for the whole school community.  Over 900 attended, including over 200 staff, and all rose to give the loyal toast. 

This was the first time the whole school had eaten lunch together since a special celebration, which marked the end of the First World War in 1919. But on this occasion there were, for the first time in College history, support staff as well. Thus pupils, teachers and support staff were seated and entertained alongside one another as all members of the school community joined house tables to celebrate together.

We are grateful to the catering, domestics and in-house teams and matrons for the food; the IT, works and facilities teams for the set up and the CCF boys for their assistance. All crockery and cutlery was biodegradable and every effort was made to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
